Michael started this. It's all his fault. But I didnt get the idea from him, I got it from this kid from tennis camp, who could solve a cube in 30 seconds. So I begged my mom to get me a cube, and when she did, I looked for ages on Google for solutions. I finally found one here, and I actually ended up solving my cube, and pretty fast too. Like, under 2 minutes once, but 2 minutes on average.
That guide is a beginner's guide. That wasnt good enough for me, though, I wanted to speed solve it. I read into a bunch of stuff [yes, this is how I spend my free time, instead of doing my summer reading, I read Rubik's cube stuff] and I figured that solving with a cross is faster for the first 2 layers. Nothing was said about the last layer, though, and thats where I think I'm losing the most time. Like, for the last 3 steps, most of the time you have to repeat the same thing over and over at least 5 times.
Also, for the cross, the best place to put it is on the bottom of the cube, so the first face you solve is the D face [bottom face], and you should never ever put the cross on the top. Like, avoid that at all costs. It really messed me up to have the cross on the bottom, because all the algorithms I learned was for the cross on the top. So its like reversed.
To speedsolve a Rubik's cube, you need finger tricks. ANd for finger tricks, you need dexterity. I have no dexterity, at all.
I think I'm going to go watch the finger tricks video on this website I found...I have to find it again though, I lost the URL.
Over and out,
